The Political Science department is recruiting participants for a 1- year mentoring program for students with an interest in majoring in Political Science. This program is called Political Science Horizons at PSU. We will be recruiting 12 first-year students and 3-4 seniors. All first-year students and seniors are eligible for the program and we especially encourage first generation students, students of color, veterans and LGBTQ students to apply. The program will consist of a series of workshops and events held during the fall and spring semesters of 2021-2022. These will give students valuable academic and career related information and skills for example how to find scholarships and internships, fund internships and study abroad programs, provide writing and statistics support, help prepare job market materials, provide opportunities to meet with Political Science alumni and learn about Political Science careers, and meet with prominent speakers. It will also sponsor fun events for students to socialize with their fellow program members. 

The application deadline is Sep. 15, successful applicants will be notified by Sep. 30 and program events will begin Oct 15.
