Professional Bio

Sheng-Hui Tseng is a first-year graduate student in Comparative Politics. Before coming to Penn State, she received her B.A. in Political Science from National Chengchi University, Taiwan, and her M.A. in Political Science from National Taiwan University, Taiwan.

Her research interests focus on gender politics and comparative politics, especially political representation and political participation of women in East-Asian democracies. Her latest work is a case study of sexual harassment against women in the workplace of politics in Taiwan, which was conducted with interviews with Taiwanese women politicians and political staffers. She is also interested in studying transitional justice and Taiwan’s political history in the future.
