Associate Professor of Political Science and African American Studies, Candis Watts Smith’s paper “Crossing Ethnic Lines: Immigrant Representation in Bureaucratic Agencies” has been selected as the winner for the 2019 Herbert Kaufman award. The Herbert Kaufman Award is given each year for the best paper presented on a panel-sponsored section at the APSA Annual Meeting. Dr. Smith and her co-author received their awards at this year’s American Political Science Association (APSA) conference held on Aug. 29 – Sept. 1.
