Congratulations to our first Student of the Month, Xiomara Larkin!

Xiomara spent the first two years of her Penn State education at the York campus, where she was the president of the Student Government Association, president of Mock Trial, and a representative to the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She has completed several internships, including with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation during which she wrote legislation sponsorship memos, prepared for committee hearings and briefings, arranged press conferences, conducted legislative research, and participated in constituent services for Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove. In the summer of 2024 Xiomara received the Thane Fake Award from the Political Science Department to support her internship with the United States Department of State in Washington DC in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs.
