Graduate student Sangyeon Kim, along with faculty member Bruce Desmarais and Howard Liu (Assistant Professor, University of Essex), received an honorable mention for the John Sprague Award (Best Graduate Student Paper from Political Networks section of APSA) for their article “Spatial Modeling of Dyadic Geopolitical Interactions Between Moving Actors”, which is published at Political Science and Research Methods (PSRM). In this paper (available here: http://t.co/DHPhDi30If), they propose a novel method to better understand spatial dependence in dyadic interactions among moving actors and show how their new method can help future research on geographically dynamic actors.
