Professional Bio

Viktar is a first-year Ph.D. Student in political science. His main research interests lie in studying individual behaviors that contribute to democratic backsliding and authoritarian resurgence. He is particularly interested in researching these topics in Eastern Europe, which is where he originally is from. He is currently studying anti-immigrant opinion formation in Eastern Europe, as well as the relationship between individual's educational background and propensity to support authoritarian leadership.
