Professional Bio

Mia Powell is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at Penn State. Her major field of study is American Politics. She was a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow at California State University, Fullerton where she earned her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Political Science in 2021. Her research interests include race/ethnic politics, political behavior, and voting systems.
