Professional Bio

Ludmila Bandeira is a first-year Ph.D. student in Comparative Politics and Political Methodology. She comes to Penn State after ten years of professional career as a civil servant in Brazil to get her master’s in public policy. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s in business administration from the University of Brasília. Her research interests involve inequality, federalism, and democracy. She is particularly interested in how inequality is related to the increase of far-right movements in Brazil. She is a mother of an incredibly handsome guy and, in her free time, likes to be outside with her family, hang out with friends, watch TV, and sleep (parents with small children will get it).
