Professional Bio

Cihan Duran is a graduate student in Political Science. Before attending Penn State, he completed his M.A. in Political Science and International Relations at Bogazici University. His M.A. thesis was titled "Examining the Echo Chambers of Countermovements to Black Lives Matter on Twitter." His research interests include computational social science, with a particular focus on network analysis. He is especially interested in the structures of social movements and their echo chambers on social media.
