Yang Yang has been awarded the Dolinger Fellowship in the World War II Era which releases him from RA and TA duties for the 2025-2026 academic year. Yang is a fourth year student specializing in International Relations with a particular focus on how states signal their intentions to each other through things like threats, sanctions, and uses of force. One part of Yang’s dissertation investigates the sequence of such efforts by Britain and France to make Italy give up its military ambitions against Ethiopia. France and Britain’s failure in this crisis emboldened the Axis powers and thus contributed to the outbreak of World War II.
Congratulations Yang!
