Professor Ray Block & Colleagues Develop a Syllabus to Advance Knowledge About Black Lives Matter

Ray Block, Associate Professor of Political Science and African American Studies, and a co-editor of the journal Politics, Groups, and Identities has, with co-editors Nadia Brown (Purdue) and Christopher Stout (Oregon State), put together a “micro-syllabus” on Black Lives Matter. According to Block, “the goal was to round up everything that had been published in our journal on the topic and make it freely available for people to read. We thought this would be a good idea because lots of folks were coming to us asking about what political scientists can teach us about what’s going on in the world… We thought it would be good to showcase the scholars who are doing important work on race, protests, and politics.”
