Professional Bio

Yang Song earned his Ph.D. in Political Science and Social Data Analytics from Pennsylvania State University. He specializes in American political behavior, political socialization, public opinion, and survey methods. He also holds an M.A. in Political Science from Duke University. His research examines how political, social, and economic experiences during formative periods shape attitudes later in life. His paper on formative exposure to civil rights protests received an invitation to Revise-and-Resubmit from Political Behavior. He has taught American government and quantitative political analysis and is prepared to teach courses in American politics, political behavior, survey research, and quantitative methods.
