Professional Bio

Professor Saunders is an Assistant Professor of Political Science. She specializes in American politics, public policy and social, health, and racial inequality. Her research uses innovative methodological techniques to understand political determinants of access to health care and social welfare resources in the U.S. Specifically, I am interested in the interactive effects of policy design and administrative burdens on policy/program enrollment and how these effects vary by state. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and Arnold Ventures, and she received the Paul Volcker Junior Scholar Award from the Public Administration section of the American Political Science Association.
