Professional Bio

Ash Elswick (they/them/theirs) is a first-year graduate student in American Politics. I come from West Virginia University where I doublemajored in Political Science and Philosophy while minoring in Music, Women and Gender Studies, and LGBTQ+ Studies. After doing political/community organizing in West Virginia, I am interested in American Political Economy and how marginalized groups are affected by economic inequality, as well as how their political decisions are altered by it. Some fun facts about me: I love to do anything outdoors (hiking, kayaking, running, etc.), bake/cook, and play instruments such as saxophone and clarinet!
