Professional Bio

Mazelle Kuplent-Fairbanks is a PhD student in International Relations and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Arizona State University, where she majored in International Relations and minored in Research Methods and Models. Her research interests include human security, civil conflict, and women’s rights, security, and representation. She is particularly interested in gender-based violence during conflict and the role of women in armed conflict.
