Biography:

I received my PhD from the University of Kentucky in 2003 with a concentration in Comparative Politics and International Relations Theory. I did my field work in Kazakhstan where I worked for five years on a USAID foreign aid project in the city of Almaty. This field work became my topic for my dissertation which centered on foreign aid sustainability and ethnic conflict.  I came to Penn State in 2006 as a lecturer specializing in teaching Gen Ed introductory political science courses.  I also teach online for Penn State World Campus. My hobbies are golfing and trout fishing and watching Penn State Athletics.
