Songtao Duan was selected to be a recipient of the 2024-25 Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School Student Persistence Scholarship. This award from the J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School at Penn State was given to acknowledge Songtao’s dedication and academic commitment.
Songtao is a second-year Ph.D. student in International Relations and Comparative Politics. His research interests center on politics and economics of development, particularly on the nature and impact of foreign aid in fragile and conflict-affected states. Songtao plans to use the scholarship to support his future field research.
