Professor Roseanne McManus wins 2019 Foreign Policy Book Award for her book, Statements of Resolve: Achieving Coercive Credibility in International Conflict

Congratulations to Professor Roseanne McManus. Her book, Statements of Resolve: Achieving Coercive Credibility in International Conflict, has won the 2019 Best Foreign Policy Book Award, awarded by the Foreign Policy Analysis section of the International Studies Association. In the book, McManus offers a new theory regarding what makes resolved foreign policy statements by leaders effective at influencing international adversaries and tests it quantitatively and qualitatively.
