LSAT Prep Class
LSAT Prep classes with Dr. Yoho have been scheduled for 4 separate dates during the 2008/09 academic year.  They are scheduled for September 13 and 14, November 8 and 9, 2008 and February 14 and 15, April 25 and 26, 2009.  A registration form and a syllabus are available at www.psu.edu/dus/prelaw for the September class and will be available at this web site approximately one month prior to each class date.

Harrisburg Semester
Learn more about the Harrisburg Semester, a summer internship and seminar program on politics and policy making in our state capital. The Harrisburg Semester is a Penn State wide program for undergraduate; stipends are available on a competitive basis. See www.hbg.psu.edu/hbgsemester for more details. The Harrisburg Semester provides summer internships coupled with a high-powered classroom experience in Pennsylvania’s capital for qualified undergraduate students. By participating in this internship program, you build your resume with real life experience while working in state government, a policy advocacy association, a lobbying or public affairs firm, journalism, or a community development organization. Next Thursday, September 18, 2008, Sameer Ranade from the State College Barack Obama campaign will be holding an information session about Fall 2008 internships with the Barack Obama campaign.  All interested students are welcome to attend.

2009 UNITED NATIONS NATIONAL COMPETITIVE
RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION

     For U.S. citizens seeking junior professional posts.
EXAMINATION CRITERIA (all must be met)

   Secretariat.  Knowledge of additional official languages of the UN
(Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is a definite advantage. 

NOTE:  The exam may be limited to the 40 most qualified Americans per occupational group.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  October 31, 2008

Power Vote Intern Application
Power Vote is an effort to build demand for a clean, prosperous and just energy future by turning out record numbers of young voters at Penn State University.  Nationally, Power Vote is aiming to build a 1 million person strong youth voting bloc demanding action to secure a clean energy future.

Job Description:
Interns work directly with their two Campus Organizers, student groups, student government and volunteer leaders to increase youth voter turn out.  They will plan and implement various tactics including visibility events, global warming actions and peer-to-peer outreach through tabling, class raps, dorm canvassing and phone banking.  Power Vote interns report directly to their Campus Organizers and may be eligible for course credit for their work.
