UNESSO Laura W. Bush Traveling Fellowship
Spend this summer in Washington DC as a part of the Machon Kaplan Social Action Internship Program June 14-July 26, 2009. Machon Kaplan is a six-week work/study internship program for college students based out of the Religious Action Center in Washington, D.C. Through our unique program you will be part of a special community, experience real world social justice policy work, and learn about Judaism and social justice. The program provides housing, college academic credits for two classes, and some meals. The Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion provides transcripts for your courses. This program is cosponsored by the Union for Reform Judaism Kesher College Department.

In anticipation of the June 8, 2009 Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), a preparation course is available for interested students. The course will be held on Saturday and Sunday, February 14 & 15, 2009 on the University Park campus and is scheduled to provide ample time to prepare outside of class for the June 2009 LSAT.
The registration fee is $250.

Internship opportunity with Penn State's Office of University Development. Applications are open to students who are seniors during the 2009-2010 academic year and are due by February 1, 2009.
Penn State’s Office of University Development is offering a full-time summer internship available to students interested in learning more about a career in fundraising and non-profit work. Qualified applicants must be seniors in the 2009-2010 academic year or recent college graduates who possess excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. This is a paid position at a rate of $10/hour.
The intern will be placed in a University Development office for the duration of the program and will participate in an array of projects while developing an understanding of fundraising in higher education. Applicants must be able to commit to 40 hours per week. One to three credits of independent study are available through most academic programs, but not required for participation. The program will begin in late May and end in early August. The internship experience will be based on a three-pronged program, including real world experience, classroom learning, and professional development.

Selected candidates will be asked to complete two rounds of interviews. All applicants will be notified of final decisions by early March 2009.
