2006 Oregon Governor's Campaign Summer Internship Program

Oregon's Democratic Governor Ted Kulongoski is running for re-election in what is expected to be one of the most competitive state elections in the country.  The Kulongoski for Governor internship program offers students and recent college graduates an opportunity to participate in the day-to-day operations of a political campaign.

Interns will gain valuable experience in campaign fundraising, event organization, and grass roots campaign organizing. The internship program is a fun and exciting opportunity to learn about politics and develop valuable contacts and relationships that will last long after the election is over.

Interns will work out of the Portland, Oregon office, but will have the opportunity to visit locations throughout the state.  Housing can be made available for those who need it.

To apply, please address the following three topics in a one page cover letter:

1)  What motivates you to want to work on a political campaign?

2)  Describe what prior work experience and/or school activities make you well suited to be intern on the Kulongoski for Governor campaign.

3)  What do you do to challenge yourself?

Please attach a resume and send your letter to internship@tedforgov.com.

The deadline to apply is May 12th.

For more information about the campaign, see www.tedforgov.com.
