Description of duties
You'll work with a team of interns in one of our regional offices - either Virginia Beach, VA; Fredericksburg, VA; or Tucson, AZ. There, you will be assigned a mentor from senior management and take part in several individual and group projects. Assignments will offer you the opportunity to research insurance industry trends, analyze current business procedures, identify solutions to business issues and improve processes, propose new strategies for growing and retaining our business, deliver presentations to management, develop marketing plans, and even meet our CEO during a two-day leadership summit.
Skills and/or qualifications desired:
Our summer internship program is well suited for finance, accounting, risk management, economics, marketing, management, and general business majors.
Requirements:
-Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and possess junior or senior status;
-At least a 3.2 overall current undergraduate GPA;
-Have taken a variety of business courses;
-Very good analytical and problem-solving skills;
-Effective written and verbal communication skills;
-Ability to work independently and within a team;
-High level of dependability;
-Demonstrated leadership potential; and
-Strong understanding of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
