Dr. Hojnacki wins award from ASA.

Professor Marie Hojnacki, along with co-authors Elizabeth M. Armstrong (Princeton University) and Daniel P. Carpenter (Harvard University) were awarded the 2007 Elliot Feidson award from the Medical Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association for her article "Whose Deaths Matter? Mortality, Advocacy, and Attention to Disease in the Mass Media" published in the August 2006 issue of the Journal of Health Politics, Policy, and Law. The Freidson award recognizes publications that make a significant contribution to medical sociology.
