Faculty / graduate student book wins national award

Professors Baumgartner and Linn, along with Penn State graduate student Amber Boydstun (now an assistant professor at U-Cal Davis) won the 2008 Gladys Kammerer Award at the annual meetings of the American Political Science Association in Boston. The Kammerer award is given for the best book in the previous year on the topic of US national policy. The Decline of the Death Penalty and the Discovery of Innocence (link: http://www.personal.psu.edu/frb1/Innocence/Innocence.htm ) was published in 2008 by Cambridge University Press.
