Brief Biography
Ph.D., The Ohio State University, 1994. Professor Hojnacki specializes in American politics with an emphasis on agenda setting and the advocacy activities of organized interests. Her current research investigates how media and governmental attention to problems are affected by problem characteristics (burden, interested organizations) and features of the agenda setting process (inter-agenda dependence), and how policy outcomes are affected by advocates’ arguments, tactics, allies and opposition. Her work has bbe published in the Journal of Politics, American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, and Political Research Quarterly.
