Ph.D. , University of Rochester, 2009. Dr. Carter's research interests include international conflict, political methodology, and game theory. His recent work focuses on conflict over territory, state conflict with violent non-state actors, the use of foreign aid as a policy tool, and state support for terrorist and insurgent groups. He is currently conducting research on modeling time-dependent variables in binary data (with Curt Signorino) and the Making of New Borders and the Emergence of Interstate Conflict (with Hein E. Goemans). | |
