Ph.D., Indiana University at Bloomington, 1989. Professor Berkman specializes in American state and local politics and policymaking. His work has been published in journals such as the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Political Research Quarterly and Public Opinion Quarterly. He has published two books Eric Plutzer: Ten Thousand Democracies: Politics and Public Opinion in America‘s School Districts (2005) and Evolution, Creationism, and the Battle for Control of America’s Classrooms (2010). His currently at work with Plutzer and James Honaker on a NSF supported project entitled “Multilevel Responsive to Public Opinion.” | |
