Ph.D. , University of Rochester, 2008. Dr. Aksoy's primary research interests are in the field of comparative politics with a focus on political institutions and the effects of political institutions on political behavior. The main topics explored in her recent research include the influence of legislative institutional arrangements on the legislative process and the influence of domestic institutional arrangements on citizen behavior. Her recent work examines how the complex legislative institutional structure of the European Union shapes the outcomes of legislative decision-making and member states’ behavior during this process. |
